As a woman travelling solo, though very familiar with Paris, this was my first trip anywhere since Feb 2020 and I found this hotel very welcoming. It is not luxurious, but very neat, there was always someone at front desk, friendly atmosphere. Entrance is at an angle of 2 very quiet and charming streets. Pierre Bayle BTW was an important Protestant philosopher and leading advocate of toleration so spare a thought when going up the tiny street named after him. Probably the most important is that you will be in a typical Parisian neighbourhood far from the tourist trails but with excellent public transport, supermarkets, late night corner groceries, great boulangerie across the street, little 'quartier' cafés and bars. You get your own key and come in and out as you please. Investigate the bus network, very good for museums; métro is a small station and 2 minutes from hotel, you'll be at Nation in 5 minutes. You will be less than 10 min from the buzzing Rue de la Roquette and Place Voltaire, apart from the obvious, a stone's throw from the Père Lachaise. Walkers can be at Bastille in about 30 minutes. I was lucky, staff kindly accommodated my request and give me a 5th floor room, very bright even though northwest facing: not everyone may be so lucky during busy times, so I won't post a photo.

Breakfast was delicious and they had just enough. It’s not a huge selection but it’s all you need. I loved the 24/7 fresh cold water machine next to reception as well as the coffee machine. I drank so many hot chocolate’s I nearly turned into one haha The rooms are incredibly spacious. The beds are sooo comfy and it is a peaceful area - zero disruption I felt very safe and relaxed The staff are very friendly. We do not speak French but they were very helpful and accommodating

Very spacious, clean, bright, well equipped room, bathroom and kitchen. Helpful and friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. The location of the hotel is perfect: quiet, peaceful area. Easy access to the city centre, metro one minute away. It is close to the former Roquette Prisons (remains of the guillotine), as well as being located right next to Père-Lachaise Cemetery.

Whilst not a luxury hotel, the location was excellent, close to public transport with lots of food options close by plus right next to Pere Lachaise Cemetery. Breakfast option was available and free coffee after lunch, plus there was water in the lobby to drink and refill. The room was big by Paris standards, overall an excellent choice.

I loved it that the place was very close to the Philippe August metro station. Loved that coffee is available until 9pm. Daily breakfast is enough to get by. The place was squeaky clean upon arrival. Kitchen facilities are also available in the room. Drinking water is available 24/7.
